Below are 3D files for metal detecting accessories and parts, available for free or a small fee. Each file has been successfully printed and found useful by myself or other detectorists I know.

All items listed have been printed on a Bambu Labs A1 printer. The photos provided are ones I have taken, indicating that I have printed and tested these items personally.

Pedestal for Marbles or Musket Balls

Pedestals for displaying marbles or musket balls in two different sizes. The tall pedestal measures 60mm in height with a base of 31mm by 31mm, while the short pedestal measures 25mm in height with the same base dimensions of 31mm by 31mm.

Coil Screw and Bolt for Bounty Hunter Lone Star Pro

After purchasing a used Bounty Hunter Lone Star Pro for just $35, I noticed it was missing a coil screw and bolt. Instead of searching for replacements, I decided to 3D print my own. Surprisingly, this turned out to be more challenging than expected, as many of the so-called compatible metal detector bolts didn’t actually fit. After some trial and error, I found a 3D file that worked perfectly. To get the right fit, print the fourth bolt from the largest option in the file, and pair it with the corresponding wing nut. For reference, the correct size is an M6 screw.

Minelab Equinox Coil 600/800 Coil Stiffener

A local detectorist was downsizing during a move and generously gifted me a Minelab Equinox EQX11 coil with broken, or rather, completely missing ears. I printed this stiffener file and glued it to the coil, giving it a sturdy new life. Now, I have an extra EQX11 coil that I, or my friends, can borrow. The stiffener is strong and durable, and it can easily be attached to the coil if either or both ears are missing.

  1. Can you make coil skid plate files for the equinox 6″ coil as well as the Minelab Manticore 8″ coil? No one is selling them online as far as i can tell.
